The Green Bit DactyScan84c is a large-platen optical live fingerprint reader. The reader can catch 4-slap and 2-thumb fingerprints, allowing the 4+4+2 technique to obtain all 10 fingerprints. The DactyScan84c also has the ability to record single-rolled and flat fingerprints.

FBI IAFIS IQS CJIS-RS-0010 (V7) Appendix F compliance has been certified for Green Bit DactyScan84c. It also meets the requirements of ANSI/NIST-ITL-1-2007, ANSI/NIST-ITL-1-2000, and ISO/IEC 19794-4.

Features include a dynamic estimation of fingerprint image quality during the scanning process (NISTIR7151 quality check); a correct position and slap completeness check, which checks for correct finger placement and for incomplete slaps due to missing fingers; and slide detection for flat prints, which detects deformations of fingerprints due to sliding during acquisition. Other features include an Anti-Fake "Lite", which distinguishes between real human finger patterns and other surfaces with relief structure, like gloves or tissue, and a finger allocation check, which ensures the presence of a finger core and basic distal flows.
